Born in the village capital of Belarusian Belarusian SSR 27 March 1944.

Father died in the guerrilla group, the mother - a peasant woman.

From 1951 to 1961 was in high school. In 1961, acted in Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute on specialty of "Geology", but failed in the competition - in a sign dalos education in village schools. While studying in college and in later years remained true to his dream: to become a geologist. Interested in all the literary novelties of mineralogy and geology, gathered a collection of minerals, ores and rocks. Geological collection currently has about 2,000 exhibits.

After the college received permission to join the institution without the mandatory three years of practice, so he entered the Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute ..
